On behalf of the Film and Media Studies Department, it gives us great pleasure to announce that former student Ricardo Sokolowska-Pedrosa was the winner of the 2024 Moving Image Awards with his outstanding documentary 'Uninhabitable'. 

As well as representatives from EDUQAS, the voting panel also included documentary filmmaker Lorna Tucker, Metro film critic Larushka Ivan-Zadeh and script editor Kate Leys.

The coursework he produced last year during his time at DGSB displays technically mastery and a deep, emotional intelligence.
