We were delighted to welcome over 1000 visitors to our DGSB Farewell Event on Saturday 5th February 2022. Former students and colleagues were able to see the old school building one final time, before our move to the new building in the spring.
Visitors were able to go on a self guided tour around the school, taking in classrooms on the Upper and Lower Corridors, the Library, the Gym, the Hall and the Quad among other areas.
It was wonderful to welcome back former students from across the generations, ranging from those that had recently left to those that last set foot in the school over 70 years ago. Many met up with former classmates who they hadn't seen since school, using the chance to relive old school memories. It was wonderful to hear so many happy stories and how DGSB was the foundation to many successful and interesting careers.
It was an important moment in DGSB history, and we are grateful for all those that visited and made the day one to remember.
